My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| It's always fun to go on a 'short' weekend to somewhere you're familiar with, relieving the days that you spent there before. Just recently, I was able to go back to my hometown, Tallahassee, for a short overnight stay. It was my mom's birthday, so I was really excited to go back home. No need for hotel reservations, I planned to stay at our house in Tallahassee. The party was perfect. But I'm not here to talk about the party. I'm here to discuss how I spent the remaining hours I stayed in Tallahassee after the party. So here it goes... I first went to New Capitol Building. I love the museum there. And I must admit the place got better than the last time I've been there. I took the elevator and wen up to the 22nd floor. Man, I was really amazed by the view from there! Really breathtaking! After that, I decided to head to the Museum of Florida. There, I was able to see the dinosaurs and the remnants of Native Americans who once inhabited Tallahassee. It was both enjoyable and educational. The museum tour guide has a lot of stuff to share about the things that are being exhibited! Then off I went to Havana! No, not the Cuban place, but the enchanting place considered as a one-stop shop for all that you need. I got in there after driving 30 minutes northwest. I really had the time of my life with all the antique and vintage-thrift shops that I found there! All the shops sells cute, tiny stuff, perfect for either self-keeping or gift-giving! I even bought a vintage lamp for my mom, since I forgot to buy her a birthday present! It was really a blast spending an afternoon in Havana! During the night, I decided to revisit my college days, and went back to West Tennessee Street! There were a lot of choices to spend the night with a bottle of beer, great food, and fun entertainment. I went to Bullwinkle's, where my friends and I used to go to, and had my favorite beer and their bestselling tacos! I certainly missed this place! Can't wait to go back here with my college friends! Truly, nothing beats relieving great memories with friends and family! I really love Tallahassee. Promise, I'll be back more often! |
